Liverpool beat Fulham 2-1 in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg last night. At Anfield, it was the Carabao Cup semi-final, the first match, with the Reds opening their nest to deal with the little tycoon.

In the 63rd minute, Fulham almost took the lead as Bobby Reed slipped in to receive the ball. Before having to duel with Kevin Kelleher, who pulled out a super save in time to help the Reds.

In the 66th minute Anthony Robinson was charged with handball. But the referee didn’t give it.

However, in the 69th minute. Liverpool tied 1-1 with the work of Curtis Jones, who hit from outside the penalty area and the ball ricocheted. And Tosin Adarabioyo put it into the net.

Then in the 71st minute, the home team overtook the lead 2-1. Diogo Jota flowed up the left side, Darwin Nuñez slammed it back inside for Cody Kakpo to shoot, but there was nothing left.

The Reds continued to attack, but Darwin Nuñez’s two chances were all tied to Wave Bernd Leno. 

The game ended, Liverpool overtook Fulham 2-1 in the first match, with the second game taking place on January 24.
